Sasso & Company Presents: Deeply Rooted

Sasso & Company will present Deeply Rooted this February at the Dance Complex, Julie Ince Thompson Theatre! Deeply Rooted will showcase a brand new world premiere piece exploring the psychological theory of attachment as well as fan favorite company repertory. As part of the company’s mission to create a greater sense of connectivity in the Boston dance community, Sasso & Company is excited to be presenting the work of local artists and companies.

Deeply Rooted explores the nature of attachment and our visceral reactions to such relationships. In psychology, attachment theory attempts to describe the dynamics of long-term and short-term interpersonal relationships between humans. Moreover, the feeling of security, anxiety, and/or apathy has a direct relationship to how our bodies react to one another. Deeply Rooted deconstructs attachment through movement, gesture, and soulful dance expression.
