Teal Drake

Teal Drake is a Los Angeles-based dancer, choreographer, and educator dedicated to utilizing the power of movement as a force for healing, connection, and social change. With roots in performance, pedagogy, choreography, and community-centered arts, her work centers on making dance accessible to all bodies and abilities.

She began her professional performance career with Inland Empire Contemporary Ballet and later with Lume Dance Collective, performing contemporary and interdisciplinary works throughout Southern California.  

In addition to performing, Teal teaches dance to children and adults with differing abilities and access needs—focusing on creating an environment where all people feel welcome and where movement is used as a catalyst for change and healing. 

Teal is thrilled to be performing with Abilities Dance Boston and contribute to a company that celebrates and centers diverse perspectives.
