Mathieu Bruneau

Mathieu Bruneau is a percussionist in the Greater Boston Area. He has performed with several musical ensembles including MetWinds, Firebird Pops, New England Film Orchestra, and Concord Orchestra. He has also taught percussion with several marching bands from Lowell, Beverly, Westford Academy, Lynn, and Marblehead High Schools, as well as the Lowell High School Indoor Percussion. He also marched with the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps out of Nashua, NH.

In 2019, Mathieu graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor's in Music Business. While there, he performed with several ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Orchestra, and Marching Band. During his senior year, he was named drumline captain and section leader. He studied under Jeffrey Fischer, Andrew Fordyce, Dan Lutz, and Deb Huber. 

He currently works in IT for the City of Lynn after graduating with a Bachelors in IT (2022) and a Master's in Cybersecurity (2024), both from UMass Lowell.
